Snoring Remedy

Are you tired of losing sleep due to your snoring? Or are you annoyed by your partner complaining about your loud snoring? Do you wish there was something that you could do to stop snoring or ease your snoring, but don’t think anything will help? There are millions of snoring remedies out there that you can try or have already tried. Maybe some haven’t worked, maybe some have. Maybe some have worked for a while, but the snoring came right back. Well, I have a few remedies for you to try. Hopefully you will find something that works for you. There are 9 remedies that come to mind, so let’s talk about those and find out which one would work best for you.

First remedy to try is to change your lifestyle. You might not have ever thought about this one, but it may very well work for you. The simplest things have the biggest effect on us. It’s the usual here. By changing your lifestyle, this will probably mean stop doing everything you like to do! Well, almost everything. Things like drinking, smoking, gaining weight, and caffeine of course will make snoring worse. So take it one day at a time. Gradually stop doing these things and see how it effects your snoring.

The way you sleep at night can also help your snoring or cause it to get worse. If you sleep on your back, try sleeping on your side for at least a week. If this doesn’t work, try sleeping on your side with your head elevated by at least 4 inches. Sleeping on your back is the worst when trying to get rid of snoring. This is because when you sleep on your back, your tongue rolls in the back of your throat causing your airway to be partially blocked. So when you or your partner snores, that noise that you hear is from a partially blocked airway.

You can also eat certain foods that will help reduce your snoring habits. The foods such as mustard greens, pears, thyme, onions, horseradish, garlic, scallions, and lobster can help you reduce your snoring habits. The foods you should avoid are dairy products, fried foods, frozen foods, and baked goods. An example of this is pizza and other already made foods you put in the oven. You don’t have to cut these foods out of your diet completely. Just try to stay away from them 2 to 3 hours before going to bed.

Throat spray can also help reduce your snoring problem. Throat sprays loosen the mucous membranes in your throat. There are some advanced throat sprays out there that help lubricate and soften the loose vibrating tissue in your throat that may also be causing you to snore. There are some essential oil throat sprays and water based throat sprays. Water based throat sprays don’t get rid of snoring, it just silences the noise for a while. Oil throat sprays rid you of snoring for a few weeks and the snoring may come back.

There are numerous solutions to rid you of snoring, but only you know which is best for you.
