A common snoring device is a pillow. You read right, a pillow. These pillows are specially made to help you stop snoring. These special pillows are a little pricey, but they work. These pillows are specially formulated for people who can’t sleep on their sides comfortably. Sleeping on your side reduces snoring tremendously. Some people who tend to sleep on their backs snore a lot louder and more frequent than those whose sleep on their sides. You snore louder and a lot more frequently because your tongue rolls to the back of your throat and partially blocks your airway, causing the tissues in your throat to vibrate and rattle. This is the annoying noise known as snoring.

Another anti-snoring device is the spray. This type of snoring device is not as expensive as the special customized snoring pillow. This device will run you anywhere from $10-$20. You don’t have to have a prescription for this spray. It is available over the counter at most drug stores and pharmacies. A lot of people are familiar and favor this spray because you don’t necessarily have to spray it on your throat, you can also spray it up your nose. It’s nothing too special about this spray. People just like the idea of having a choice.

Another favorite are the nasal strips. You may have heard of breathe easy or breathe right strips. These have worked for many people, and it’s a simple design. These strips work wonders. Remember that snoring is caused by throat tissue rattling and vibrating around. So, these strips help increase airflow by pulling the nasal passages open gently to improve the flow of air that you breathe in. The strip is a flexible, plastic strip that is comfortable to wear all night or however long it is that you sleep.

For those of you out there who grind their teeth at night and snore, this anti-snoring device was designed with you in mind. This device is a mouthpiece that is designed to fit in your mouth in such a way that the tissue that’s in the back of your throat doesn’t block your airflow. It’s a little more expensive than the nasal spray, but this may very well work for you.
